Project Receives Attention from American Libraries Magazine

The Library Design Showcase 2011 included several excerpts highlighting the Monroe County Public Library located in Bloomington, Indiana. 3D Professional Contracting completed the renovation project last fall, which included updated finishes throughout the facility, such as the Children’s Department, Circulation department, and Open Library area.

The project, located just off the campus of Indiana University, presented many challenges for the construction team. This particular library, due to its location, is one of the busiest branches in Indiana. The library director, not wanting any of the patrons to miss out on the benefits of the library, requested the work be completed without closing the library. 3D Professional Contracting, along with subcontractors FCS Group, Engineered Flooring, Certified Floorcovering, Shepco Commercial Finishes, Woods Electric, and Heflin Industries successfully relocated both the stacks and the patrons while upgrading the finishes and furniture throughout.
